Jamba Peach Blackberry Smash Fruit Sorbet Bar Review

Jamba Peach Blackberry Smash Fruit Sorbet Bar

The bright colors of the box of Jamba Peach Blackberry Smash Fruit Sorbet Bar made me check it out, and when I realized that it was only 70 calories per bar - well, enough said right there, it was coming home with me.

NUTRITION FACTS
Serving Size: 1 bar (63 grams)
Calories: 70
Total Fat: 0%
Saturated Fat: 0%
Sodium: 15 mg, 1%
Carbohydrates: 20 grams
Fiber: 3 grams, 12%
Sugars: 14 grams
Protein: 0 grams

This fruit sorbet bar doesn't mimic an ice cream bar, but instead has it's own tangy, fruity flavor going on, and I like. It does melt in your mouth as you work on each delicious bite, and it's just the perfect size for an evening nosh. Compared to Yolato Pomegranato Frozen Yogurt Gelato Bars (Review), this Jamba bar has 10 fewer calories, the same amount of sugars (14 grams) and 3 grams of fiber but no protein (the Yolato bar has no fiber but 2 grams of protein).

Jamba Peach Blackberry Smash Fruit Sorbet Bars are all natural, non-fat and made with real fruit. The ingredients are, water, sugar, tapioca syrup, peaches, blackberries, soluble corn fiber, peach juice concentrate, natural flavors, citric acid, guar gum, locust bean gum, tapioca starch, fruit juice and anatto (color), ascorbic acid (vitamin C).

I purchased a box with 4 Jamba Peach Blackberry Smash Fruit Sorbet Bars for $3.99, and I would buy this again - it won't leave you yearning for an ice-cream bar at all.

Crystal Light Peach Iced Tea Review

Crystal Light Peach Iced Tea

I LOVE the summer and I love hot temperatures. One of my favorite things to do is set up in a nice shady spot with a drink and a good book. That's exactly what was on my mind after putting in some long hours a few days week. I had a Crystal Light drink to review - Crystal Light Peach Iced Tea (thanks to my advertising network, Glam Media), and I was almost finished with the AMAZING book, Kindred by Octavia Butler.

NUTRITION FACTS
Serving Size: 8 ounces
Calories: 5
Total Fat: 0%
Saturated Fat: 0%
Sodium: 15 mg, 1%
Carbohydrates: 1 grams
Fiber: 0%
Sugars: 0 grams
Protein: 0 grams

This low calorie peach iced tea was just the thing for a hot summer day. The flavor is spot on - sweet, peachy and not too tart. One packet makes a tall glass, or 16.9 ounces, and I ended up using a few packets and making a pitcher for the afternoon. I haven't looked back Luckily, each 8 ounce serving of Crystal Light Peach Iced Tea (half of one packet), provides only 5 calories.

The sweeteners used are aspartame and acesulfame K, and it also contains a few artificial colors - Red 40 Lake, Red 40, Yellow 6 Lake, Yellow 5, Blue 1 Lake and Blue 1 - why so many Crystal Light?!

Coupons.com

A box with 10 packs cost $2.19 at my local grocery store, but as I said before, I received samples for review. The Crystal Light Peach Iced Tea flavor was really delightful. I would buy this in the future, and although I do drink a lot of water thanks to working out more, I don't think I could live without having some flavored drinks a few times a week. Plus, if you're trying to currently kick the soda habit, check out the Crystal Light "Flavor over Fizz" Challenge Facebook page - prizes await!

And the book I was reading - Kindred - so good - reading about slavery is not easy for me since my not-too-distant ancestors were on the wrong end of the whip - but Octavia Butler managed to make an interesting and moving story - with a science fiction twist.

Phenom Coconut Water (Energy - Acai Peach) Review

387

I love pure coconut water - straight from the coconut. It's naturally low-calorie and rich in electrolytes (potassium and magnesium in particular). Phenom Coconut Water is a new offering from GNC, and it comes fortified with a variety of vitamins and minerals. The Phenom Energy (Acai Peach) Coconut Water is fortified to 100% of the RDA of vitamin C, vitamin B-12, Pantothenic Acid, and Niacin, plus 250% vitamin B-6.

NUTRITION FACTS
Serving Size: 8 ounces
Calories: 45
Total Fat: 0%
Saturated Fat: 0%
Sodium: 150 mg, 6%
Carbohydrates: 10 grams
Fiber: 0%
Sugar: 7 grams
Protein: 0 grams

Each 8 ounce serving provides only 45 calories - you would think it's really the perfect drink, but alas, the taste of this coconut water is less than phenomenal. In fact, I couldn't finish drinking the contents of the 16.9 ounce container. It's just ... weird. There is the underlying subtle coconut water flavor, but on top of it is layered some weird flavoring, I suppose the acai and peach which just does not work! It's almost sickening and every time I take a sip I make a weird, "this is nasty face." I'm happy I have a few other flavors to try and I'm hoping at least one of them is good - because the company sent me this and I want to be able to say good things, but so far I can't - not about the taste.

Coupons.com

Don't take offense Phenom - coconut water is such a delicate flavor that it's hard to get right in a packaged product. I didn't like Vita Coco Coconut Water with Acai & Pomegranate either ... maybe it's something about the "Acai" flavor that doesn't go well with coconut water.

Phenom Coconut Water is available at GNC (in stores and online) at $29.99 for a case with 12. I'm not a fan of this flavor, but stay tuned for reviews of a few more flavors later this week to see if there is one I did like. But tell me, do you drink coconut water - what brand do you like?

The Beauty of One Ingredient: Coconut Water
Vita Coco is about hydration, and hydration is important no matter what you do. So while other beverages claim to be the before-, during-, and after-sports hydrator, Vita Coco is the hydrator made without added sugars, artificial sweeteners, or pick-me-ups.

In fact, the beauty of Vita Coco is that it's made with 100% pure coconut water from young, green Brazilian coconuts. (Okay, so in this case we also added a touch of 100%-pure mango and peach puree for a refreshing splash of flavor.)

The coconuts that are used to make Vita Coco drinks are young, green coconuts -- each one cracked by hand -- from northern Brazil that have an average age of about seven months, which is the best age to extract coconut water because it's still fat-free.

Hydrate Naturally with Five Essential Electrolytes
Sure, you may not be a marathon runner, a football player or Tour de France winner, but your every day life is hectic enough--you should be hydrated while you live it. Go ahead, get hydrated and remember that life is a sport!

Loaded with the five essential electrolytes that your body craves -- including potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium and phosphorous -- Vita Coco has what it takes to keep you hydrated and refreshed throughout your busy day.

In fact, each serving of Vita Coco has more electrolytes and 15 times more potassium than the leading sports drink, and more potassium than two bananas (about 700 mg of potassium is in each 11.2-ounce serving size). These electrolytes work to keep the body cool, help boost poor circulation, replenish your body's fluids after exercising, and aid in the detoxification process while boosting your immune system.

This cholesterol- free, fat- free and pucker-free drink can also help soothe an upset stomach, and when paired with a healthy diet, it can even promote weight loss. All this from a single, natural ingredient, and without any artificial sweeteners or added sugars.

Peach and Mango: The Original Power Couple
By adding a touch of peach and mango to Vita Coco 100% Coconut Water, the concept of hydration perfection has been redefined. This all-natural blend of fruit puree and 100% coconut water offers all the essential benefits of the original Vita Coco, but with the refreshing flavors of peach and mango, known in the Vita Coco world as the "Original Power Couple." So hydrate and feel peachy keen!

11.2-Ounce Tetra Pak with Peel-Away Opening
The perfect solution for an on-the-go lifestyle, the 11.2-ounce Tetra Paks give you just the right amount of Vita Coco to get you through your next task. A convenient peel-away opening makes it easier than ever to access the great taste and benefits of Vita Coco wherever you go.

What's in the Box
Pack of 12 11.2-ounce Tetra Paks of pure coconut water with peach and mango puree (134 Total Ounces).

The Vita Coco Story
One evening in a Manhattan bar in February 2003, childhood friends, Ira Liran and Michael Kirban, were speaking with a couple of girls they had just met from Brazil. When asked what they missed most about their country, one of the girls, without hesitation, answered "agua de coco." Coconut water, she explained, is the most nutritious and delicious drink in the world.

The rest, as they say, is history. Two years later, the two successfully brought Vita Coco to market in a handful of stores along the East Coast. Since that fateful night in Soho in 2003, Vita Coco has not only carved a new market in the non-carbonated beverage business and redefined the alternative sports beverage category, but has also created the one of the fastest growing lifestyle beverages in North America. Now available in over 10,000 retail stores nationally, Vita Coco is a major beverage brand with a cult-like brand loyalty.

VitaminWater Zero Recoup (Peach Mandarin)

VitaminWater Zero (Peach Mandarin)VitaminWater flavored water beverages are sweetened with a combination of natural sweeteners and hence provide no calories. So far, I have tried 2 flavors, VitaminWater Zero Naturally Sweetened Lemonade Flavored Water Review which I liked a lot, and VitaminWater Zero Mega-C (Grape Raspberry) Review which went in the opposite direction on the 'delicious scale.'. So I decided to try another product as a tie-breaker so to speak, VitaminWater Zero Recoup (Peach Mandarin).

NUTRITION FACTS
Serving Size: 8 ounces
Calories: 0
Total Fat: 0%
Saturated Fat: 0%
Sodium: 0%
Carbohydrates: 3 grams
Fiber: 0%
Sugars: < 1 gram
Protein: 0 grams

This water has 100% of the daily value for quite a few B vitamins, and according to VitaminWater, this drink was created to help you cope with whatever life throws at you - whether it's the kitchen sink, a curveball or even a shoe from a member of the foreign press. I'm not sure this helped me pass my exams, but I noticed the flavor and refreshing nature of this beverage for sure. The peach flavor shone through and was well balanced with a hint of mandarin. The flavor is a bit sweeter than what I've experience from other VitaminWater Reviews, but it's still very good - MUCH better than Skinny Water Peach Mango Mandarin (XXX-Detox) Review.

Each 8 ounce serving of VitaminWater Zero Recoup (Peach Mandarin) provides no calories, fat, sugars or protein. There is 100% of the daily value for vitamin C, vitamins B5, B6, B12, and 40% for vitamin B3. This water is sweetened with stevia, crystalline fructose, and erythritol. I paid $1.89 for the 20-ounce bottle which was a bit more expensive than some other flavored waters, but I would definitely buy this again.

I like flavored water because I drink more liquids that way, and I would definitely buy this again.
