Tasty Bite makes all natural, Indian & pan Asian food products - a lot of them vegetarian & gluten free. I had a box of Tasty Bite Madras Lentils laying around the house, and I decided to hook it up with some bow-tie pasta. The directions on the box were super-simple, if a bit messy. Simply open the pouch, pour out the contents into a microwaveable bowl (I ended up scooping out a lot of it with my fingers), and then microwaving for 90 seconds.

The result looked like a hot mess! Brown & thick - I thought, there is no way this is going to be tasty. And then I had a bite. It was DELICIOUS! There is a slight spicy kick at the end of a bite, and the texture is not too mushy. There was a perfect harmony to the not-too-tomatoey suace, the seasonings & the beans. If you're ever thinking of making red beans & rice - well, thanks to Tasty Bite, half the work has already been done for you.

I LOVED this product. Although I mentioned this would be great for a red beans & rice dish, I used it as a meat substitute in spaghetti - I don't eat ground beef, and I didn't miss the meat at all. This is going to be a pantry staple - quick & easy to prepare, tasty, all natural ingredients list - you don't get much better than that.
