Why I volunteered to gain 35 pounds.

…because this kind of weight just feels right.

34kb Why I volunteered to gain 35 pounds.

If you thought I planned to gain 35-lbs via pie eating, then shame on you!

But I would like some pie, yo.

It’s my latest purchase, ya’ll. A 35 pound kettlebell. I’ve been working with my 25-lb KB for a little over 2 months. At this point, some (but not all) of my workouts with the 25-lb KB are getting too easy, so I upped the ante to 35-lbs.

I’ll definitely be at this weight for awhile. Big time challenge! The weight is heavy, but I’m still able to maintain good form on all movements, so it’s a go. My first workout at this weight was yesterday. It made the deluge of sweaty funk come very quickly.

My armpits achieved maximum funkiness in less than 15 minutes. I wish I could insert a scratch ‘n sniff effect right here so you could fully experience the kettlebell-inspired smell of my armpits. Isn’t that what you want?

I quickly get bored with the infamous Kettlebell swing, so I don’t swing every time I pick up the ‘bell. I tend to use my KB’s in a different kind of way; for things like the weighted split squat, single leg deadlifts, tricep extensions and Kettlebell Carries.

If you’re on the road to kicking the fat, remember this: cardio will reduce your dress size, but only weight training will give you strong, sexy curves in all the right places (including the booty!).
