I don't drink as much diet sodas as I used to, but I still have my preferences. Diet Pepsi over Diet Coke (but regular Coca Cola over Pepsi). There is usually a lot of coming and going within the flavored diet soda world - companies seem to be really quick to scrap what they think the public doesn't like! So, I'm not sure if the Vanilla Coke Zero that I spotted the other day is still being produced or not, but since I like it's Cherry flavored cousin, I quickly snapped up a can to try.

If you've tried Coke Zero and compared it to Diet Coke, you know that they taste very different. Likewise, this Zero incarnation of Vanilla soda tastes different that Diet Coke with Vanilla, but it's still delicious. This zero calorie version has a delightful vanilla flavoring that's not too intense, but the sweetness was as ... full bodied as with the regular version. But that's a common difference between regular & diet sodas. But let me tell you - I did love this no calorie Vanilla soda ... maybe even more than plain Coke Zero. sponsor
The ingredients include carbonated water, caramel color, phosphoric acid, natural flavors, aspartame, potassium, benzoate, potassium citrate, acesulfame potassium, and caffeine.
A 12 ounce can cost $1.00, and it was totally worth it. I'll tell you what - on some days, there is nothing better than a frosty cold soda - one with no calories!
