Roni’s “Pregnancy” Week 40

I decided to do a quick video today. Just an update on baby, nursing and how we are adjusting.

Totally kept my food journal today but I have to be honest, I didn’t count points. Long story, I hope to get into tomorrow. Click here to see it on twitter.

Oh! and click here for my latest Babble Post, A Bottle for a Breastfed Baby.

Roni’s Pregnancy Week 37 — The Birth!

I snuck in a quick recording session while the Husband was in the shower. We ventured out today. It was nice. Nursing is getting easier and easier and I’m getting a few hours of sleep in between sessions. I also snapped a few more photos. This one I posted on Poop Butterflies is by far my favorite. He’s alert like that about twice a day. I’m in love!

Roni’s Pregnancy Week 31 – The Crib

I’ve been a lurker around ronisweigh for awhile now. Several years at least, and I’m embarrassed to admit it, but I’ve never posted a comment. I recently found out I’m pregnant, and I wanted to thank you for the pregnancy updates. I don’t know any other pregnant women right now, and it has been so comforting to see you and hear about what you’re going through. I’m scared, and I feel alone, and seeing you gives me some strength and inspiration. I especially enjoyed your underwear comment in this post :) I feel your pain. I need to get some new pants for work. They are just so darn tight and uncomfortable. Thank you, Roni. Congratulations, and best of luck!

Roni’s Pregnancy Week 27 – 7 Months and I’m feeling it!

Sounds like it’s time for water aerobics classes! You know, it’s not just old women who take those classes and they all seem to have a blast!

Don’t forget how lovely it is to just walk outside. The cold, fresh air is exhilerating and you just don’t noice it so much if you bundle up appropriately. It may be “just walking,” but it may be just what you need.

Your skin looks so beautiful!

Roni’s Pregnancy Week 25 – Forgetting I’m Pregnant

Doooode, you don’t even look pregnant, you just look… not pregnant! LMAO You’re having such a healthy pregnancy! You’re growing just the amount you should. Amazing!
You know how kid’s are. They sprout in just a few days, so your belly will get that nice round shape, sticking out to the front eventually. But do keep in mind, I don’t think you’re going to get huge. It will be a normal belly this time, so my guess is that you’re going to think it’s too small, but it won’t be. I mean, they’re totally different pregnancies. I hope you know what I mean, I’m not very good at this english thing!

Roni’s Pregnancy Week 23 – New Bras and The Boppy!

Running late today! So busy but I have so much to tell you. See an old post below the video from my family blog.

Know any pregnant woman? The boppy really is awesome and it makes a great gift! Click here to see one similar to mine, Boppy Classic Nursing Pillow with Soft Slipcover

For those of you who saw my feet you will completely understand this post. Well, I looked down today and notice the swelling was almost completely gone. I don’t have cankles anymore! I take this as a huge after pregnancy milestone.

I hit another milestone today. Bill returned to work and it was my first day home alone with Ryan. We had fun, although I’m not sure if he will remember any of it considering he sleeps about 18 hours a day. You would then think I wouldn’t be exhausted. Well you would be WRONG! When you have to wake to breast feed every two hours sleep just isn’t the same.

Ryan is doing really good at night and has already come close to sleeping 4 straight hours but, as I’m sure all the other parents out there know, sleep just isn’t the same anymore. I am constantly tired, with my eyes being very heavy. Of course there are times when I could be sleeping but I find myself just starring at him. I’m sure this will pass but in the mean time I’m going to enjoy it while he is this little.

Roni’s Pregnancy Week 21 – THE Name.

When I was pregnant w/ #2, we didn’t know if it was a boy or a girl, so we picked out names for each. We had Izaac picked out for a first name for a boy but could not agree on a middle name (I wanted a bible name). Hubby came home from work one day, walked in the door, looks at me and says “Izaac Jeremiah”. I looked at him and said “That’s it!!!” From then on, that was our boy name…so when #2 was a boy, we were THRILLED! It’s funny b/c we didn’t LOVE our girl name but it was the one we could agree on….I think somehow we knew it would be a boy. So when you both said, yeah that’s the name–reminded me how we picked out our boy name. :) Love the name! And you are still so darn cute!

As far as the exercise goes, think of it this way–you ARE training for something–Labor and Delivery! The ultimate event to train for. If I have a #3, I fully intend to work out as long as humanly possible b/c I know it will help me w/ labor and delivery and recovery. So maybe that will motivate you?? You don’t have to run….walk, ride the bike, boot camp, yoga, pilates–just do what you are comfortable with. Good luck!
