The Reality of Why YOU Need to Stay Focused

If you FOCUS on what needs to be done today, you will be *that much*closer to your goals. Allowing yourself to remain in a state of stagnation and/or repeatedly going backwards in regression has to become utterly unacceptable to you.

Focus and move forward.

There’s no easy way around it. The reality is, you have to put in the work every single day. Stay disciplined and F-O-C-U-S.

Back to Reality…

My diet over the last 4 days progressively got worse and worse and my body didn’t like it at all.

Yesterday was the ridiculous. Let’s just say I had Lindor Truffles for breakfast followed by Peanut Butter Smidgens and way too many cookies after dinner. My Mother-in-Law had these amazing Pecan Cookie balls. The ones with the powdered sugar on the outside. I swear I ate at least 2 dozen mysself. It was bad. Real bad. But MAN they were GOOD.

Anyway, my body didn’t really like this influx of sugar. I was so bloated and tired and bleh. Frankly, I felt like poo. That’s about the best word I can use.

So today I was all about the tracker…

I started my day with my favorite breakfast, a veggie omelet.

I made a classic Mommy and Me Omelet and shared an egg with Little Bean.

This is a tradition I started with Little Guy a long time ago. Click here for the story.

After breakfast the boys played with our new world map while I cleaned up a bit.

How cute are they?!? The last few days have been amazing family time for us. The Husband took a few days off and the 4 of us are having a blast. He has to work tomorrow but then we get another 3 day weekend and I can’t wait.

Anyway, lunch was my latest salad obsession.

It’s salad greens and spinach with gouda, dried cranberries and walnuts. Click here to see how I make this "Harvest Salad" for Thanksgiving. Today I figured out a 6 point single serve version…

I piled on greens and topped with 1oz of cubed gouda, 20g of dried cranberries, 2 whole walnuts chopped and 1 tbsp lite raspberry vinaigrette.

I seriously can eat this every day. It’s a fun winter salad and I don’t really like salads when it gets cold.

The rest of the day was spent cleaning and organizing. I made some pasta for dinner and then hit the gym. It was nice. I actually missed not working out the last few days. I look forward to it now as "my time" that when I don’t go, I feel off.

So that’s it. I’m back to tracking and I’m feeling good after tracking today. I want to hit the New Year running (figuratively and literally.) :)
