Happy Feet, Crawling, Notre Dame and a Cup of Hot Chocolate

Those four things pretty much defined today. It all started with a trip to the gym for bootcamp. I still have a house full of family but I snuck away for my weekly class.

Before I left, I grabbed a banana to have on the way.

When I got back I made the most amazing omelet ever!

Onion, red pepper, broccoli, bacon bits, 1 egg and a ton of egg white. Delicious! I could eat this every day.

After the late breakfast, my mom and I decided to take the kids to see Happy Feet Two. I didn’t fall asleep! A sure sign it was a half decent kids movie as I have fallen asleep in the theater at almost every kids movie in the past year. I’m not joking. I have a serious problem.

All joking aside, it was cute. If you liked the first you’ll probably like this one.

At the movie the Little Guy and I shared a large popcorn. I normally have a no large rule but I made an exception since we’d be sharing with my mom as well, but she didn’t have much.

We came home and I made lunch having fun with the Thanksgiving leftovers again.

That’s a Leftover Turkey Quesadilla with Cranberries and Gouda and it was awesome! Click here for the recipe. I’m having way too much fun coming up with fun ways to use the leftover turkey. Yes, I know I’m a freak.

The rest of the afternoon was pretty lazy but not uneventful!

All that excitement warranted dinner.

A little pasta, sausage and a side salad. I had seconds of the sausage and the salad.

Dessert? The last slice of Wildberry Pie.

My Mother-in-Law brings this pie from Perkins every year. It’s awesome! Once of the few pies I really enjoy.

Right now I’m watching Notre Dame get their butts kicked by Stanford next to the two biggest fans I know: The Husband and his Mom. It’s not looking good here in the 3rd quarter.

I’m a little hungry but not hungry enough to warrant a meal and to be honest, I don’t trust myself to grab something out of the pantry right now. So I’m off to make myself a nice warm glass of hot chocolate. I figure it’s a good compromise.

I’m feeling good after two days of journaling and I’m so glad some of you are doing this with me. I can already feel momentum shifting.

Ok, let me go. Notre Dame actually scored. At least it’s not a blow out!
