An A-Maize-ing Sensational Sunday

Today started quietly. Little Guy slept over his friends house, leaving Little Bean and I all alone for the start of our Sensational Sunday.

He tried to fill his big brother’s shoes, but was not nearly as helpful in the laundry sorting department.

Before starting this week’s laundry I had to finish last week’s. I totally forgot there was a load of towels in the dryer. Always fun.

I folded while Little Bean kept an eye on the strange, hairy 4 legged creature that was roaming around our messy basement.

We started breakfast with a Cheerio Appetizer.

Little Bean hasn’t quite mastered the self-feeding thing. Check out this video of him trying Cheerios. It cracks me up every time.

I had a Spinach and Turkey Bacon Omelet Rollup, again.

In honor of Little Guy, I blasted his AWESOME mix and danced around like a complete lunatic while cleaning up.

Little Bean was quite amused.

I finally got a chance to frame some new pictures. I’ve been slacking in the portraits department for baby #2.

Little Bean headed up to nap and I cleaned. It was nice to have a morning completely to myself.

FINALLY the husband decided to join the land of the living. I greeted him with a load of laundry to fold.

Once our "chores" were done, we picked up Little Guy and his friend and headed to Maize Quest, an annual October tradition for us.

We realized this was our 10th year attending. The Husband and I started going before we even had kids. Now it’s one of our favorite family traditions.

We snapped this of Little Bean on his first trip…

Which is almost identical to one of Big Brother on his first trip…

Although Little Bean is about 3 months older.

The husband also snapped this…

Which is almost identical to this…

The ones of Little Guy are from 2005. Now he’s a 6 year old! Unbelievable!

I snapped this..

and CRACKED up when I saw it. I know you aren’t going to believe me, but I had NO idea he flipped the bird. I was too busy trying to get Little Bean to look at me.

We finally got home at 7PM. It was a long, fun, active day. I LOVE THAT!

Dinner was some quick pasta…

and dessert, a super sweet cantaloupe from the farm stand.

I didn’t do much to prepare for the week. The grocery shopping isn’t done. Tomorrow’s lunch isn’t made. The clothes aren’t put away. BUT I spent a great day with the family and that’s what really matters. :)

Hope you had a fabulous weekend!
