I go through gum like crazy, so I have to find types that retain their flavor and don't make my jaw hurt from chewing them forever. I discovered Stride Gum a few years ago, and I haven't looked back since. The Spearmint variety is my personal favorite - it keeps its flavor for such a long time (at least 45 minutes to an hour for me) and it's nice and soft. One thing I like about the brand in general too is the fact that they keep coming out with new and interesting flavors. My newest find: Stride Eternal Melon Gum.

I picked up a pack of 14 for $1.50, and in no time, one was in my mouth. The flavor is great! It tastes quite melon-y, although it's more of the artificial melon flavor, but I liked. Unfortunately, it seems that the fruity Stride flavors don't last as long as the minty ones, but this still got me through 30 minutes or so minutes of intense chewing scrutiny before losing a lot of the flavor.
Each piece has just 3.5 calories, and 1 serving is 2 pieces - 7 calories, no fat, no sodium, no sugar (but 1 gram of sugar alcohols), and no protein.
sponsorThe ingredients are sorbitol, gum base, glycerin, natural & artificial flavoring, xylitol, mannitol, less than 2% of aspartame, BHT (to maintain freshness), cesulfame K, blue lake 1, soy lecithin, sucralose and yellow 5lake. I've never really paid attention to the ingredients list of gum before, but this makes me want to go out and find some "natural" gum - or at least something without the artifical colors.
Although I liked the taste, Stride Spearmint is still my favorite flavor & for longevity.
