ThinkThin Dark Chocolate Protein Bar

ThinkThin Dark Chocolate BarThinkThin says, "satisfy your next chocolate craving with the rich flavors of dark chocolate with a hint of peanuts covered in delectable dark chocolate. This high protein bar has zero grams sugar and is completely gluten free." I certainly couldn't resist the tempting combination of dark chocolate + protein, so despite the $2.49 price tag, I picked up a ThinkThin Dark Chocolate Protein Bar.

From the first bite, I was greeted with nice dark chocolate and nutty taste. Call me 'nuts', but there also seemed to be some coconut essence as well - but that's not listed on the ingredients list, so it might just be my imagination. Regardless, this bar was quite delicious. It was really solid, a bit chewy, but still crunchy from the peanuts, and immensely satisfying.

Each 60 gram ThinkThin Dark Chocolate Protein Bar provides 230 calories, 7 grams of total fat, 4 grams of which is saturated fat (11% and 20% of the daily value), 110 mg sodium (5% of the DV), 2 grams of fiber, no sugar, 20 grams of protein, and a host of minerals and vitamins.

The ingredients include a protein Blend of whey protein isolate, soy protein isolate and calcium caseinate, as well as the sweetener maltitol. Bottom line: Loved this bar! It's a little calorie dense, but packs a serious protein punch. I wouldn't suggest it for a pure dark chocolate fix, but it's a nice chocolate flavor. And I also much prefer this Dark Chocolate flavor to the to ThinkThin Chocolate Fudge High Protein Bar.
