I am HATING this cold weather. I know it’s December but I feel like it came out of nowhere. It’s been in the low 20s with a wind chill in single digits. FRIGID!
But this morning I had a run scheduled… I’m only down to running once a week (remember my pregnancy training plan?) and I purposely made that day Wednesday so I can volunteer in Little Man’s gym class. His school is just about 1.5 miles away. So I figured I’d run there, take a break, PEE (damn pregnancy bladder), hang out with the kids at gym and then run home. I’ve done this for the second time this week and it’s perfect! In essence I made a DATE to run. When I can’t run anymore, I’ll walk. Either way it get me outside, moving and feeling fantastic!
Today I channeled the Hulk (I love wearing Little Man’s hats) to get out there in the cold. Although I need some clothes. :) I bundled up in a few layers, grabbed a scarf, some gloves and the iPod. I was dreading it but as always now that I’m back I’ve reinforced the "You never regret a run" theory.
Chart taken from Nike+ web site after sync. Click here to see how I did it.
I feel fantastic and ready to tackle the day. What’s left of it anyway. I have an article to write, a proposal to put together, a contest to enter (more on that later,) a kitchen to clean and a recipe to get up. This morning I made my second batch of these…
I LOVE holiday cookie experiments. Now that I made them twice I’ll post the recipe on GreenLiteBites and link to it as soon as I get it up.
Did you get out and about today? Don’t let the weather scare you.. once you get moving it isn’t so bad. :)
