I think I have found the holy grail of nutrition-bar-turned-candy, and that is Clif Bar White Chocolate Macadamia Nut. This bar is sweet like white chocolate, with a nice nutty crunch from the macadamia nuts and soy butter, and the chewiness comes from the date paste (although the taste of dates is not too over the top - take note, Larabar).

I was in absolute heaven when I ate this bar, and the taste alone made it well worth the $1.59 spent on it. The nutrition facts - I knew from trying other Clif Bars - wouldn't be as pleasing. Each 68 gram Clif White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Bar provides 240 calories, 7 grams of otal fat, 1.5 grams of which is saturated, 7% of the daily value for sodium (160 mg), 4 grams of fiber (16% of the DV), 21 grams of sugars and 9 grams of protein. The ingredients, like all the other Clif Bars are all natural and 70% organic - and starts with organic brown rice syrup - hello sugars!
sponsorThis Clif Bar is pretty hefty, so try to snack on it over a long period of time. I've said it before and I'll say it again, although the taste of this bar is phenomenal, I only eat these when I'm working out really hard - long runs or cycling. Otherwise, it's just a protein rich candy bar.
And since this bar tastes amazing, it's my new favorite flavor Clif Bar. What's your favorite Clif Bar?!
