My 3 Goal Sensational Sunday

I had 3 simple goals today. 1) a clean house, 2) fun with my boys, and 3) this pitcher EMPTY

Click here if you don’t know what this is all about.

How’d I do? Well I’ll let you be the judge…

First I must show you what I was up against.

I don’t know what happened this week. There must have been a tornado or something because we just had crap everywhere.

Who could be expected to clean on an empty stomach? I needed to feed this boy and feed him FAST!

What’s he eating? Banana pancakes, of course.

I had sweet potato scramble.

It’s an awesome fall breakfast!

We cleaned up downstairs before starting the laundry.

He was ready.

And now he has an audience!

We all have a job when it comes to laundry. I keep it moving, Little Guy sorts, The Husband folds and Little Bean supervises.

Late morning snack…

Non-fat Greek yogurt with frozen wild blueberries and a drizzle of honey.

I also started dinner…

A nice big pot of Homemade Sauce.

Little Guy decided on a mango. Here he is snacking and watching a youtube video about growing your own mango tree.

We just HAD to do it. Getting that seed out was a BITCH.

But we did it and plopped it in some water to root.

We also checked in on our baby apple tree.

As per my laundry job I went to start a new load when I spotted Irish. I have NO idea how she wiggled her way under there, but my word did she look comfy.

Midday it was time for our family outing. We had BIG plans today but first, lunch!

That’s my go-to meal at Qdoba: Craft 2 meal with a naked taco salad and Mexican gumbo no rice and light on the cheese. I could eat this everyday!

With bellies full we headed to…

An indoor rock wall climbing place!

I’ve wanted to do this for years! Seriously, YEARS. Click here to read about the first time I ever climbed a rock wall. It was 2007. My old gym had one and I fell in love. I left that gym 3 years ago and haven’t climbed one since.

Today was a family affair. Little Guy did good, but he gave up on himself halfway up the wall.

I was hoping it would help him build confidence, but he froze up at the same spot 3 times in a row. He did good though, he really did!

The Husband even got up there with his fear of heights! I could tell he was nervous, but he did two climbs.

Me? I LOVED IT! I did 3 climbs, increasing in difficulty every time. This is me on the last one at the top.

I just love the challenge of it! I will be doing this again. I can see it becoming quite a habit.

After the climb I tried some of this coconut water everyone’s been raving about.

Meh. I wasn’t impressed. I’d rather drink water.

When we came home it was back to chores. We had a few more things to finish up before dinner.

Then all of a sudden we hear…. POP!

Yup. My spaghetti squash exploded in the microwave! The bottom just blew off!

I even pierced it!

While I cleaned up and finished dinner, Little Guy worked on our new calendar.

I made pasta for the boys, but stuck to the squash for me. I was just in the mood and it’s delicious with the sauce and a turkey sausage.

After dinner we cleaned up.

And settled in for the Ravens game.

Oh! and here’s my new kitchen desk and The Husband’s customary bird.

Mission completed (notice the water, it’s almost gone. Pouring last glass now.) All goals met. :)

Oh! and I posted a new Baby Food Adventure, click here to check it out. Little Bean is rocking the solids!
